We got our BOB books today and guess what? Jackson read "Mat Sat! Sam Sat!" We are working on "smooshing" though. I can't wait to formally begin our journey tomorrow. Thanks for all the encouragement : )
Well done, Jackson! I am so excited for you. There is nothing like learning to read with your very own child. It forms a special bond between mother and child, I think.
By the way…your kids are so cute! I was staring at them on your blog yesterday.
Neighbor M. is beginning to be good friends with some of the words–knowing a few without having to sound them out. It was fun to see her zipping through Book 3. Of course, I should have expected it seeing that she's five. But I never cease to be amazed at children learning to read! It is like watching a miracle.
Too bad we are taking a week off for Thanksgiving! 🙁 Even though I need the break from lessons, she is just getting started. Oh well. Time enough in the future.
