Book 11 of Bob Books Set 1 is one of those precious review books that use the concepts we’ve already learned, but apply them in new words. This is oh so important for the process of learning to read, so please do not skip this book.
If you think your child is ready to speed through, at the very least, I would have him read the book through one time. For my own students, I find that three lessons are still necessary. On the first two lessons, they hesitatingly sound out each word. On the third lesson, they still sound out a few words, but it is much smoother and the sentences sound … well … like real sentences!
Ha!
