It’s that time again! The scent of pencils is in the air, that’s for sure.
Once again, I accidentally disappeared for an entire summer. I never announce it because I always intend to keep blogging, but it never works out. However, comma, I do have a number of reading lessons to type up, both leftovers that I never finished typing from the last school year, as well as a few newbies from this year.
I might also be changing a few things this year. Unlike before, when I refined the binder system, these are not major changes. But I’ve been reading slowly through Uncovering the Logic of English, which I already informed you that I highly recommend, and I’ve discovered that a few of the ways I have chosen to introduce new sounds may not be the best ways. So I’m refining.
It’s funny, because I thought that once I finished blogging through the entire Bob Books series with one of my girls, I would feel “done” with this blog, and I’d just let it sit out there as a resource. But I suppose the urge to always be becoming a better teacher is irresistible, and so even though I really will be leaving my older daughter’s lessons “out there,” I think the updates for the younger daughter will be important because I might be, as I said, making some changes.
And then I still have a four-year-old who hasn’t even begun his reading journey! I have many more years of teaching reading ahead of me, even without doing tutoring right now!
All of this to say: welcome to another year of TRwBB. I’ll be working on getting new updates published soon.
