Today, we’re sharing a free reading lesson for Bob Books Set 1, Book 5. It’s called “Dot and Mit” and this is where we introduce the short-I vowel sound. One word in the book that uses this new sound is the word is. We already have a card introducing the hard-s sound. Remember? We made it back with Set 1, Book 3. So rest assured that your child will be able to read this sound.
At our house, we add the book to the child’s 100 Books Chart after he has read the book both times.
