This book offers some good practice of the ir sound, which we first introduced way back in Bob Books Set 3, Book 2. The words in this book are a bit longer than the ones we used on our card, but students soon get the hang of it. If your child seems to have forgotten the sound, simply find the card in your binder, and move it back into the Daily tab so that you get in some extra review.
This is a good time to remember that while cards usually move back towards the back of the binder, they can move forward if they need to. You as the teacher or tutor get to make that judgment call.
Another thing: second readings are option for the Kindergarten Sight Words Set books. If your child stumbles too much, have them read it twice because the second reading will be so much better. But if they do well the first time, there is no need for a second reading.
